I do not do this and I feel bad when I dump my spent flowers knowing they can be used.
Also, it depends on how dark you vaporize the ground flower. Sorry to hear about your pain i also think its a paindemic on the people. My gf not into flower but excepts me smoking she sees the relief i obtain from it. Also my gf has seen a pain specialist for years we moved took over a year to get a new specialist who put her in physical therapy which gave her pain an put her on a couple none of which helped. Hope you stay healthy an pain free as possible which i know is hardly ever for me.

Strains come and go.. so strains you can’t buy anymore fall off the lists. Since tested flowers started July 2018 in California , the highest scores have been 9.5. Pre testing the flower likely had additive so the flowers were stronger IMHO. You can see that opinion though out this channel from old heads talking about the good old days had stronger flower comments..
My list will keep you in good flowers.. some will stone you to the bone.
